It was in 2007 when former racehorse Double Demon (Monty) came into my life. Initially bought as a project to bring on & sell as a nice allrounder, it became clear that his talents lay elsewhere. With the help of Heather Moffett he went from a fairly ordinary TB with nice paces, to working at a higher level than I ever thought possible. During my time at Heather's we took part in innumerable demos, both under saddle & on the long reins (he has also helped many students get the feel of a more classical style of long reining). As I write this, he is still fit & well, & his work is still improving! He is established in all lateral movements, finds collection very easy, & can now extend, piaffe & passage are coming on, as are flying changes, though they can still be quite exciting!!
